Summer is approaching, and our hope is that reading is
somewhere on the list of fun activities you and your family have planned!
Research tells us children who don't read during the summer can lose up to
three months of reading progress and that loss has a cumulative, long-term
effect. Consequently, it is very important that students continue to
read over the summer to maintain and even improve performance when returning to
school.
To make reading during the summer even more fun, the Primary
Library is offering a summer reading program for everyone who wishes to
participate. Students can participate individually or as a family. Follow the links to get information about this year's Edelweiss Summer Reading Program! How does it work?
